East Central Railway Zone ( ECR ) was formed on 18th September 1996. Its head office is at Hajipur. It is among one of the 16 railway zones in India. It also comprises of Sonpur, Samastipur, Danapur Mughalsarai and Dhanbad division.
East Central Railway has published advertisement for the recruitment of Sports Persons. Interested and eligible candidates can apply in a prescribed format as on or before 28th October 2011. Selection of the candidates will be based on interview. Candidates should send all the necessary attested documents with the applications such as Age Proof, Educational qualification, Sporting Events Certificates etc.
12 posts are vacant for Group C Category out of which 6 posts are for Female Sports persons and 6 are for Male Sports persons. Posts are having various categories such as Football ( Male ), Football ( Female ), Cricket ( Male ), Volley Ball ( Male ), Kabaddi ( Male ), Kabaddi ( Female ), Basketball ( Female ), Hockey ( Female ), Athlete ( Male ) and Badminton ( Male ). Candidates for these posts will get salary under the pay scale of Rs.5200-20200/- with Grade Pay of Rs.1900/2000/2400/2800/-. Candidates should not be less than 18 years and not more than 25 years of age. Candidates should be dominant partner of games in the relevant sports with at least 2 years of relevant experience. Candidates those have passed matriculation will get Grade pay of Rs.1900/2000 while for intermediate candidates Grade pay is of Rs.2400/- and for Graduate and high qualified will get Grade pay of Rs.2800/-.
