Government of India under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries had founded a pioneer R & D institute in 1967 with the name as Paddy Processing Research centre. At present, it is known by the name as Indian Institute of Crop Processing Technology ( IICPT ). It is located at Thanjavur of Tamil Nadu. It is renowned for its method and system of education. Its main aim is to make solutions for the preservation of high moisture paddy. It also take steps for the promotion of new food industries.
IICPT requires a highly competent and committed faculty to build core competencies for imparting state of art education, facilitating the process of teaching world class professionals and technical education. Pay scale : Candidates selected for the post of Professors will get salary of Rs. 43000/- per month under the pay scale of Rs. 37400 – 67000/-. While Associate Professors will get Rs. 22320/- per month and Assistant professors will get salary under the pay scale of Rs. 15600 – 39100/-.
Age limit : maximum age limit for Professors, Associate Professors and Assistant professors is 50 / 45 / 30 years respectively.
Qualification : For professors post, candidates should posses doctoral degree with the relevant specialization and 10 years of experience. While Doctoral degree of minimum 4 years of experience in the relevant subject as an Assistant professors is required for Associate Professors and Masters degree with Ph.D in the relevant subject plus pass in National Eligibility Test [ NET ] is necessary for the post of Assistant professors.
