Punjab Police was formed on 1861. It the policing agent of Punjab state of India. It prevent and detect crime, maintain law and orders and also save the human rights of the people of Punjab and even India. Around 30000 employees are attached with Punjab Police. Total 5726 posts are available for Constables. Out of this, 3726 vacancies are for male candidates and rest 2000 posts are for female candidates under the pay scale of Rs. 5910-20200/- and Rs. 2000/- as grade pay. These vacancies are for the districts of Bathinda, Muktsar, Mansa, Ferozepur, Moga, Patiala, Fazilka, Barnala. Fatehgarh Sahib, SAS Nagar, Sangrur, Ludhiana, Khanna, Ropar, Jalandhar, SBS Nagar, Pathankot, Kapurthala and Amritsar.
Qualification : Candidates should be 12th pass with Punjabi as a compulsory subject in matriculation exam. Candidates age should be between 18 – 25 years as on 1st January 2011.
