Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited [ UPRVUNL ] is the no. one company of India. It was formed on 25th August 1980 by the Government of UP. It controls all the thermal power stations of Uttar Pradesh. At present, it operates and manages the generation of power of 5 thermal power plants of UP. It is a joint venture with NTPC for thermal generation and development of coal mines.
